Our Commitment
It is our belief that we can make a difference—one woman, and one family at a time. Our greater effort is to work collectively to reduce and eliminate the detriment of breast cancer in the lives of African American families. Sojourners provides support, education, and encouragement through various community outreach opportunities in Palm Beach County. Our belief is that each woman, regardless of her race, creed, or religion has the right to be treated with dignity as support is rendered to her. Our purpose is to walk with women sojourning this journey, encouraging them and their families to keep the faith and embrace hope.
What we do
Our Services
EDUCATE
We welcome opportunities to speak, conduct workshops, participate in health fairs and events to educate the public on breast cancer.
ENCOURAGE
We host monthly breast cancer support group meetings for survivors with guest speakers who provide information on healthy living, recent treatments & medical care.
COLLABORATE
We work with various organizations in our local community to improve breast cancer awareness and provide services to local underserved women.
EVENTS
We host annual events to rally support for breast cancer awareness like the Better Together Community Affair and “Women in Pink Proclaiming Praise” Celebration.
